Summer time is just around the corner and the heat is on. Time to hit the beach. However, the United States is largely a land locked country and beaches are too few and small for the total population and private beaches further reduces the usable size. Thus, beaches tend to be crowded in the summer and this impacts the summer fun. Thus, many people, not just Americans, tend to travel to other countries to enjoy their beaches in the summer. The choice destinations are countries or locations that have a low population with lots of coastline. This is basically the definition of island locations like inclusive Jamaica. The largest, 11 kilometer long, beach is near the parish of Westmoreland, on the western part of the island. Negril Jamaica is the resort town that services the beach resort Negril, one of the top ten beaches in the world. There are many hotels in Negril and some that allow “au naturel” and topless bathing. This was probably the major cause of the popularity of Jamaica and Negril beach. However, for people that consider summer fun separate from the possibilities these sites provide, there are other distractions like coral beaches ideal for diving and sites ideal for mountain biking. Montago bay, although not in Negril is a popular location in Jamaica. Another popular site is Ocho Rios, the main port that most cruise ships in the Carribean dock to. Thus, aside from air travel, Jamaica can also be reached through a cruise line.
