Fashion is one of the factors being considered for someone to be called cool, and because of this our teenagers are going out of their way to have the latest fashion trend and style.  And most of the times, we, the parents are the ones financially affected by this.  But hey, it’s part of growing up, everyone goes through being a teenager and all the other things connected with it.

My teenage daughter, is one of those teenagers who spend hours looking at herself in the mirror, and trying every outfit in her closet before she’s finished.  Everything about her outfit should match, from her t-shirts, jeans, shoes and accessories.  Most of the time, we were all ready to go and she’s still in her room dressing up.  One of her favorite brands of t-shirts is Abercrombie and Fitch,  it was a popular brand among teens with its flirtatious and energetic attitude, and it timeless and cool designs.  For her jeans, she’s more into True Religion jeans, she loves the 1970’s inspired jeans and their great fitting. She always says that there is only one thing lacking from her wardrobe, and if she had one of those, she’ll be one of the coolest girls in school.   Guess what she wanted?  Gucci shoes.  These shoes were really expensive for someone in high school, so we said to her, being cool will have to  wait two more years,  we’ll buy her one and she’ll be one the coolest girls in college.
